  • In May 2009 in Boise, Idaho Dr. Zunaira Munir gave a keynote speech to HP executives on the topic of Blue Ocean Strategy. The presentation included an engaging and informative introduction to Blue Ocean Strategy, its logic application and effectiveness for mid to upper level executives. Dr. Munir’s insight as she continues to work on various Blue Ocean Strategy projects and initiatives worldwide included recent Blue Ocean Strategy examples that have taken place after the release of the book in 2005. She focused on challenging traditional business strategies as she strived to help clarify where participants’ companies are and where they want to be.
  • As part of HP’s Marketing Express Webinar Series from February to July 2009 Dr. Zunaira Munir trained HP executives to recognize limitations of their existing approach to growth and profitability, formulate and execute Blue Ocean Strategy to generate new strategic growth options by creating uncontested market space, drive costs down while simultaneously driving value up, and how to identify noncustomers and convert them into customers. Companies have long engaged in head-head competition in search of sustained profitable growth. Dr. Munir demonstrated how to seize new profit and growth opportunities and create blue oceans of new market space where the objective is to not compete head-to-head but to make competition irrelevant.
