- In May 2011 Senior Global Blue Ocean Strategy Network Member Dr. Zunaira Munir conducted a Blue Ocean Strategy workshop for the members of the Medtronic executive team. The workshop challenged Medtronic executives to begin applying the Blue Ocean Strategy tools and frameworks to the medical technology industry. It consisted of situational exercises, real Blue Ocean Strategy case-studies and interactive group exercises to ensure the participants not only grasped the Blue Ocean Strategy theory but also helped participants learn to apply it practically. By diving deep into Blue Ocean Strategy the Medtronic team moved from thought to action covering Blue Ocean Strategy formulation and execution.
