- South Korea's POSCO is the third largest producer of steel in the world. Not only is POSCO the steel manufacturer market leader in Asia, POSCO has a joint operation with U.S Steel, USS-POSCO. The Korean steel company has been viewed as a cornerstone for industrial development in Korea serving as a backbone for the shipbuilding and automobile industries for several decades.
- In partnership with Value Innovation Action Camp (VIAC) Senior Global Blue Ocean Strategy Network Member Dr. Zunaira Munir conducted a consulting engagement in June 2011 for leading steel manufacturer POSCO. Following an in-depth analysis of POSCO's current strategy VIAC and Dr. Munir facilitated strategy formulation exercises. The consulting session played a pivotal role as POSCO executives take their first steps towards discovering and creating their blue ocean in the steel industry.
