- In October 2011 Dr. Zunaira Munir and Bill Kimbrell conducted a Blue Ocean Strategy Workshop for the Valvoline executive team. The workshop challenged Valvoline executives to begin applying Blue Ocean Strategy tools and frameworks to the motor oil industry. The workshop introduced the strategic logic of Blue Ocean Strategy, its application and effectiveness. Consisting of situational exercises, Blue Ocean Strategy case studies and interactive exercises Valvoline executives not only grasped the Blue Ocean Strategy theory but also helped participants learn to apply it practically. By diving deep into Blue Ocean Strategy the Valvoline team moved from thought to action covering Blue Ocean Strategy formulation and execution.
